Album Info:Loram Maintenance of Way, Inc. A railway maintenance company based in Hamel, Minn. The grinder train is comprised of approx. 12 cars; control car, electrial gear, fuel car, grinding cars with grinding carriages and related hydraulic/electrical controls, plus engines, water cars containing 20,000 gallons each and rear convenience car/ refurbished caboose with lasers to check work. Loram has 20 units that grind as much as 10,000 miles of track per year. Typically the machine can grind anywhere from 5 to 9 mph.
